After months of meticulous planning and dedicated effort, we are delighted to announce the successful completion of the extensive roof restoration project. This achievement underscores our unwavering commitment to safeguarding the historic architecture that defines our beloved school.

Head Mr Heathcote had the unique opportunity to ascend the towering scaffolding for a final inspection of the completed works. The project also uncovering a touch of history, the school’s quirky, funny-looking grotesques, perched high above the building. These charming relics are a delightful testament to the rich character and history embedded within our school’s walls. The whimsical grotesques can once again take their place as proud guardians of our historic site.

Reflecting on this significant occasion, Mr Heathcote remarked:

“It’s superb to see the high-quality renovation work which has been completed through the collaboration between the QEH estates team and external contractors. There has been a genuine shared commitment to preserving this wonderful building for generations to come.”

The restoration of the roof has been a remarkable undertaking, involving precision and teamwork at every stage to ensure the structural integrity and longevity of this iconic feature. It is a true testament to the dedication of everyone involved that such vital work was carried out to an exemplary standard while the bustling life of the school continued seamlessly below.

As well as being Head of Religion and Philosophy, Zak leads our digital vision. He was instrumental in developing our excellent online learning offering during lockdown, much to the relief of our parents, and is now leading the roll out of our school device programme.

Welcome back to Year 10 and 12

Intrepid Year 5 boys headed back to Belmont Wood last Friday for the 'Camouflage and Concealment' part of their QE Award.

Adventure awaits . . .

We are so happy we made the decision to send our son to QEH.  He has settled in quickly and enjoys everything the school has to offer in terms of academic studies and extra-curricular activities.  He goes to school happy and he comes home from school happy.
