Sports Day 2022

As well as being Head of Religion and Philosophy, Zak leads our digital vision. He was instrumental in developing our excellent online learning offering during lockdown, much to the relief of our parents, and is now leading the roll out of our school device programme.

Finally for the first time since 2018 we managed to celebrate Sports Day at Failand properly. It was also the 100th anniversary of our school House competition, so the Crispin Shield was even more hotly contested this year!

It goes without saying that the sports competitions were fought with enthusiasm and a sporting attitude so a huge congratulations to all students who took part. However it was also a great opportunity for the school community to get together.

Thank you to Holroyd Howe who put on a marquee full of delicious food as well as a BBQ and a selection of outdoor games including jenga, twister and skittles. The Friends kindly also served Pimms and fresh juices alongside their sweet stall, so there really was something for everyone.

And a huge thank you to Director of Sport, Paul Joslin, and his team for not only arranging a fantastic event but also managing to successfully book sunshine at Failand.

Congratulations to Bird House for winning the Crispin Shield!

The Junior School held their Sports Day on Friday. The sun shone and the boys raced, jumped, threw and smiled – and the parents finally got to see it all.

Well done to Carr House who won the event.

QEH’s annual Lizzies Awards celebrated pupil creativity with an inspiring showcase of short films based on the themes ‘Three Wishes’ and ‘Myths’.

We were honoured to welcome back our 1590 Society members for an evening celebrating their exceptional support. Their generosity is helping to fund transformational bursaries, providing life-changing educational opportunities to students who may not have otherwise had access to a QEH education.

Live theatre is here to stay at QEH, as pupils from Years 3 and 4 put on an incredible production of Jack and the Beanstalk last week in our theatre.

Your teachers and support staff have guided my daughter to develop her true potential. She now has brilliant life skills with improved critical thinking, analysis and communication. I am honoured and proud to be allowed to be associated with your school.
