In February, the girls’ hockey team, 1st XI, competed in the finals of the hockey nationals which took place in Nottingham.

After having waited for the pitches to defrost, the girls’ hockey matches were soon off to a strong start with some intense and close games. Time and time again, they demonstrated a performance to be proud of.

Their final game ended on a fantastic win which was a wonderful way for the Year 13s to round off their QEH hockey career. The team showed great sportsmanship and comradery, and they thoroughly enjoyed their day.

An excellent performance from the girls!

QEH’s annual Lizzies Awards celebrated pupil creativity with an inspiring showcase of short films based on the themes ‘Three Wishes’ and ‘Myths’.

QEH Sports Day 2025 was full of energy and school spirit, with students, staff, and families coming together despite the drizzle. From exciting races to a tasty BBQ, it was a great celebration of the school year—topped off by Bird House winning the H.P. Stoate Cup.

Live theatre is here to stay at QEH, as pupils from Years 3 and 4 put on an incredible production of Jack and the Beanstalk last week in our theatre.
