Volunteering at Julian Trust Homeless Shelter

As well as being Head of Religion and Philosophy, Zak leads our digital vision. He was instrumental in developing our excellent online learning offering during lockdown, much to the relief of our parents, and is now leading the roll out of our school device programme.

Earlier this month, pupils from year 6 spent their day volunteering at the Julian Trust Homeless Shelter.

The shelter is entirely run by volunteers and funded by donations from the public, so any help they can get to keep this vital service for the homeless community of Bristol running is always gratefully received.

The boys were amazed to see the incredible work the Julian Trust do and the service they provide. The boys particularly enjoyed making an apple crumble knowing that the the guests would be able to enjoy that night.

QEH pupils enjoyed an unforgettable cricket tour in Cape Town, competing fiercely, exploring iconic sights, and spotting wildlife at Aquila.
