A Level Results 2021

Rupert Heathcote, Head at QEH, has today paid tribute to the students and staff at QEH for their hard work over the last two years.

“It has been a hugely challenging time for both young people and their teachers. But while the last eighteen months have seen more disruption to schooling than at any point since World War II, it has also been an incredibly inspiring time to be working with young people. They have been required to adapt, to learn in a variety of ways and using different tools, and to demonstrate a huge amount resilience – which they have all done admirably. I am delighted that we are able to recognise their hard work.”

Over three quarters of students at QEH have achieved the grades required to accept their first choice university. The vast majority of QEH leavers will be taking up their places at university, including top Russell Group universities, to study courses ranging from Fine Art to Engineering.

Ben Goree will be celebrating 4 A* grades in Economics, Maths, Further Maths and Politics. He will taking up a place at Selwyn College, Cambridge University to study Economics.

Captains of School, Ruby Wightman and Ashe Raymond-Barker, were also celebrating after they each achieved straight A* grades. Ruby goes on to study Psychology at Leeds University while Ashe is applying through UCAS in 2022.

“We are extremely proud of the way Ruby and Ashe have led by example during their time as Captains of School. Whether in person or virtually, they have been outstanding ambassadors of the school.

We wish all our students every success in life beyond QEH.”
