Bold Voices at QEH

As well as being Head of Religion and Philosophy, Zak leads our digital vision. He was instrumental in developing our excellent online learning offering during lockdown, much to the relief of our parents, and is now leading the roll out of our school device programme.

This week we were pleased to be joined once more by the team at Bold Voices.

Continuing our efforts to educate the pupils on the matter of gender inequality, Bold Voices gave a talk to Year 9 looking at gender stereotypes and the power of language. This was then followed by workshops, assisted by some of our Sixth Form Bold Voices Ambassadors, in which the boys looked at the intersectionality of stereotypes, attitudes, social structures and experiences in order to inform their own views, behaviour and actions going forward.

Bold Voices gave a further two talks to Year 11 and to the Sixth Form, followed by an afternoon of workshops training our Ambassadors, once again looking at gender stereotyping and the role of non-gendered language, as well as empowering the students to challenge inequality and the attitudes, language and cultures that lead to gender-based violence.

We thank Bold Voices for their valuable contribution in this crucial area and look forward to working with them again over the coming months.

QEH pupils enjoyed an unforgettable cricket tour in Cape Town, competing fiercely, exploring iconic sights, and spotting wildlife at Aquila.

Our pupils have excelled in this year’s national Intermediate Maths Challenge.

Mr Dunn, Mr Martineau and five prefects, including the Captain of Boarders, took the Harvest Festival donations that QEH had received to The Community of the Sisters of the Church in St Paul's.

We are so happy we made the decision to send our son to QEH.  He has settled in quickly and enjoys everything the school has to offer in terms of academic studies and extra-curricular activities.  He goes to school happy and he comes home from school happy.
