Planning for life after QEH is an important part of a student’s time in the QEH Sixth Form. Last week, Year 12 students had the opportunity to take part in a UCAS/Futures day. Of course in the current circumstances, this was a virtual event.

The event began with an introductory session on YouTube from Mrs Dimes, our Head of UCAS, who supports and advises our students throughout the university application process. Universities had kindly provided resources on student life and finance in lieu of attending in person.

Recent QEH leavers and members of The Elizabethan Society had also recorded videos with top tips on choosing the right course and university and shared their experiences of gap years and their time at university so far.

Current students were inspired and over 70% had begun the UCAS application process before the day was done!

QEH’s annual Lizzies Awards celebrated pupil creativity with an inspiring showcase of short films based on the themes ‘Three Wishes’ and ‘Myths’.

Live theatre is here to stay at QEH, as pupils from Years 3 and 4 put on an incredible production of Jack and the Beanstalk last week in our theatre.

QEH has fulfilled its role in turning out a well-rounded young man able to take his place in the world  . . . not one simply packed full of facts.  He has the ability to think for himself and to turn those thoughts into effective actions.
