Musicians on tour

As well as being Head of Religion and Philosophy, Zak leads our digital vision. He was instrumental in developing our excellent online learning offering during lockdown, much to the relief of our parents, and is now leading the roll out of our school device programme.

After a very busy end of term in the music department, 25 students and the music staff headed off for a five day tour of Glasgow and Edinburgh.

We enjoyed a variety of activities including; a trip to the Glasgow Concert Hall to watch the Rat Pack Christmas Show, trips to the Christmas markets, a Curling lesson at the National Curling Arena at Murrayfield stadium, a Witchery tour around Edinburgh and a last minute trip to the cinema to watch Spiderman on the day of its release.

We also managed to squeeze in two concerts at local churches, performing a varied programme of festive favourites in various chamber ensembles, choir and full tour ensemble. It was a huge success and thoroughly enjoyed by all who came.

QEH pupils enjoyed an unforgettable cricket tour in Cape Town, competing fiercely, exploring iconic sights, and spotting wildlife at Aquila.

Duke of Edinburgh Award students give back

We are delighted that our pupils have been successful in their efforts to gain top GCSE grades after 18 months of Covid-related disruption to learning. This year’s exam success is a result of the pupils’ commitment to learning, ably supported by both teachers and parents.
