Congratulations to Molly T in Year 13, for ranking 14th in the British Triathlon Super Series and securing selection for Great Britain.

Molly began her triathlon journey at the age of seven and has been competing on a national level for the past five years. Her initial inspiration stemmed from her interest in swimming and observing her older brother’s participation in triathlons. Throughout Molly’s time competing she has now uncovered her natural talent for cycling, and this has become her strongest leg in races. Molly plans to continue participating in triathlons within the junior category and aims to qualify for more international events.

At the beginning of the month she competed for Team GB in the European Triathlon Cup race in Panevėžys, Lithuania. The race went well, although she felt a bit disappointed with her swimming performance, finding herself placed slightly lower in the field. Undeterred she managed to recover lost ground during the bike ride and secured a spot in the front bike pack, achieving the fastest bike split! She then had a solid run, finishing in an overall 11th place. The race was a super sprint distance which is a 400m swim, 10km bike and 2.5km run.

Molly intends studying medicine at university whilst still pursuing triathlon training, which shows her dedication to both her academic and athletic pursuits. She hopes to go to a university with a triathlon performance centre, which will open up new opportunities and help her reach new heights in her triathlon career.

Once again, congratulations to Molly on her fantastic achievement, and we wish her all the best in the future, both in triathlon and in her studies!

Our son is engaged and cheerful, getting on with the tasks which are diverse, interesting and meaningful for him.  It’s a big enough workload to keep him busy but not to overwhelm.
Thank you so much for all you are doing.
