Year 7 have been developing a radio drama project over the past few weeks. After learning about foley artistry – where you record your own sound effects live, then add them onto a script in post-production, they got to work putting together their own mini radio plays.

They were given one page of script from BBC Radio 4’s adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s book – How the Marquis Got His Coat Back and then asked to write two more pages, including sound effects. Once they had completed the script, they had to create their sounds and put it all together. Some sound effects were performed live and others recorded in advance. Their endings are all very different, but the results are fantastic. It really does sound like you’ve tuned into BBC Radio 4! They are very professionally done. Well done, boys. Great work!
