Last weekend, the year sevens went to the beautiful Osmington Bay for a once in a lifetime trip. This included tackling high climbing walls and sailing in the channel in a team-built raft. As we arrived, many of us were nervous: it wasn’t just the physical challenges ahead, but also the unknown of being away for two days with so many new faces. Nevertheless, we all faced our fears as we scaled the mighty climbing wall with our friends cheering us on.

The next challenge was a devious wobbly puzzle: Jacob’s ladder. Groups had to use all their ingenuity and newfound teamwork to clamber up the rickety steps. One of the highlights of the weekend was spotting a dolphin playing close to the shore as we tested the sea worthiness of our rafts. Overall, it was an unforgettable trip that forged strong friendships for our future at QEH.

Thank you to all the teachers who made it such a special trip.

As well as being Head of Religion and Philosophy, Zak leads our digital vision. He was instrumental in developing our excellent online learning offering during lockdown, much to the relief of our parents, and is now leading the roll out of our school device programme.

We will remember them

Our Year 7 students were busy bees during their enrichment sessions last week, making eco-friendly lip balm from beeswax, olive oil and coconut oil.

This is a really welcoming school.  All the teachers make me feel good about myself and the older pupils are really nice as well.
